Lincoln Association for the Traditional Arts (LAFTA) is a non-profit membership organization whose mission is to promote folk and traditional music, dance, and related arts in the Lincoln, Nebraska area.
LAFTA Concerts
LAFTA presents the finest touring and local folk and acoustic musicians in an annual Main Stage concert series that includes monthly concerts September through November and January through May. Occasional outdoor Backyard concerts are held during the summer months. LAFTA books a wide range of acoustic folk music acts, including Americana, roots, bluegrass, and Celtic, and ranging from solo singer-songwriters to bands. LAFTA would like to thank the Nebraska Arts Council for grant support of this annual series.
Venue
LAFTA Main Stage concerts are presented at the 7th Street Loft, located on the third floor at 504 South 7th Street in the Lincoln Haymarket District. This is an alcohol-free venue that is part of The Bridge Behavioral Health, a non-profit substance-abuse treatment facility. Seating is 160. LAFTA provides a sound system, raised stage, and sound technician.
Mill Coffee, soft-drinks, water, and cookies are available for purchase during concerts. LAFTA would like to thank The Mill for donating coffee.
Membership
LAFTA’s programs are supported by our member patrons in addition to ticket sales. Memberships run for the current concert season, starting in September and expiring the following August 31st. Memberships may be purchased online on our Tickets page, by mail, or in person at concerts.
