LAFTA Annual Meeting and Potluck with High Lonesome Bluegrass Band

Join LAFTA for a backyard potluck with music by the young Colorado bluegrass band High Lonesome.

Combining a pleasing mashup of mandolin, dobro, fiddle, guitar, and bass, High Lonesome seeks to put a new spin on good old hard-driving bluegrass by way of tight three-part harmonies, melodic original material, and an expansive reach that takes in music from various realms, including jazz and jam influences as well as traditional bluegrass. This year High Lonesome was named in Denver, Colorado Westword’s – “Ten of the Top Colorado Bluegrass Bands” list along with some of their musical influences Infamous Stringdusters and Hot Rize. With the momentum of Colorado Front Range sellout shows this past year, High Lonesome will be touring the west and east coasts as well as releasing their long anticipated debut album.

Join us in Wooly’s Big Back Yard, 6115 Huntington Ave in Lincoln. Potluck begins at 5:00 pm with music between 6:00 and 8:00 pm. LAFTA will hold a brief membership meeting during the break between sets. Suggested donation: $10 – $15. All are welcome to attend.
